Legislative Update
#8
1 March 2011
Only two bills to
report on today. Here's where we stand:
SF0085 - Game and fish violations - penalties - This bill is being heard in conference committee today, to iron out the differences between House and Senate versions. I'll update you as soon as I hear the outcome. http://legisweb.state.wy.us/2011/Introduced/SF0085.pdf
SJ0001 - Right to hunt, fish and trap - This bill passed third reading in the House yesterday morning on a vote of 56-3-1. Assuming the Governor signs it (and I am relatively sure he will) this measure will be on the general election ballot in the 2012 election. This was our highest priority this session, and I am grateful to all the organizations and individuals who supported it. http://legisweb.state.wy.us/2011/Introduced/SJ0001.pdf
I will do a complete rundown on all the bills we worked on this year later on this week. It has been a very successful session for us.
