Let’s Raise the Roof!

Dear Fellow Wyoming Wildlife Federation Member,

I’m sure that you have often received appeals from organizations asking to help keep them afloat. In a sense, this appeal is designed to keep us (or at least the staff and office furniture) from floating. Please read on, and I sincerely appreciate your consideration.

This summer saw some significant rain events in Cheyenne, providing welcome relief for the drought-stricken southeastern Wyoming plains. Unfortunately, these rainfalls also brought to light the fact that the roof of our Cheyenne office is aging and in serious need of repair – costly repair.

Rehabilitation of our flat-top roof will require well over $10,000.00, diverting funds from crucial ongoing efforts to safeguard our wildlife resource and sporting heritage against ever-increasing threats. I am writing to ask for your help in “raising the roof”!

The Wyoming Wildlife Federation continues to maintain our role as Wyoming’s most effective voice for wildlife and sportsmen. As you have read in the most recent issue of the Pronghorn, we have been making a difference on a number of issues, from keeping public lands in public hands to working to protect the Fortification Creek elk herd. 

These efforts, of course, require funding, as does a happy, healthy, and dry staff. I am asking you to strongly consider helping us to “raise the roof!” with a generous tax-deductible donation. Your contribution will help to ensure that our efforts on behalf of wildlife and sportsmen continue in full force, and without financial distraction. Any funds raised beyond the cost of roof repair will be applied directly to our continued and effective efforts on your behalf.
